January Quilt Guild

I am so new to this blogging thing, I couldn't figure out how to add text to the last post.  So here is what I wanted to say.  We only had about 8 of us brave the horrible snow storm, but it was well worth our time!  We had some fun Valentine things shown as you could see from the pictures.

Holly Nissen showed us how to make the 3-dimensional heart wall hanging.  Very interesting!  Thank you Holly!

Cindy told us about our new UFO program.  Hopefully I can remember them all!

1. oldest project you can find
2. undone kit or something you have bought fabric for
3. small project (bag, pillowcase, hotpad, etc.)
4. a quild project, any swaps, or things demonstrated
5. The Chevron Challenge (more info coming)
6. the problem project
7. the project that is all but done
8. your choice

In order to get the prize, you must complete 4.  If you do all 8, there is a special place in heaven for you and you get an additional prize, or something like that!

Carolyn has the program outlined for pretty much the whole year and is going to post it here as well.  She has some amazing things planned and I can't wait to learn so much!

We missed all of you who didn't come due to bad weather ( I don't blame you at all!) and hope to see you all next month!  Remember, we are doing it a week early so we don't cause any marital problems (It's Valentine's Day).

Happy Sewing!

and then my camera died!

Hi everyone!  We are really going to get this blog going.  I will upload some pictures this afternoon and the UFO (unfinished object) challenge.  Also, we are going to change Quilt Guild for the month of February.  We will do it a week early, on the 7th at 7:00.
